Sofia Airport is located 10 kilometers from the city center and serves as Bulgaria's primary gateway. Terminal 1 serves popular international destinations such as Barcelona and Amsterdam, as well as domestic flights to locations such as Burgas and Varna.
Sofia Airport has two terminals that are connected by a free shuttle bus that runs every half hour between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. In both Terminals 1 and 2, the airport provides a variety of traveler amenities such as free WiFi, ATMs, financial services, currency exchange, and an information desk. A sandwich bar, restaurant, and cafes are among the food and beverage options. It takes roughly 15 minutes to drive from Sofia Airport to the city center. There are two routes available: Christopher Columbus Boulevard and Bruksel Boulevard. Take any road from the Sofia Airport and then turn left onto Boulevard Tsarigradsko Shose. Keep going straight until you reach the city center.

In Sofia, on-street parking is color coded. The city's core is in the blue zone, which is only valid for two hours. Pay for parking at the machine and display the ticket on your windshield.
