The Mediterranean International Cup is an international youth football tournament for promising young players that takes place in April. It is held in various locations throughout the Girona province, with Lloret de Mar serving as the event's epicenter and where all participants stay. This international tournament features some of the world's top clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Valencia, among others. Lloret de Mar has long been a popular destination for Formula One fans who come to Catalonia to watch the F1 Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The destination created a special themed event to coincide with the F1 Grand Prix in 2012: the Lloret Formula Weekend, a weekend packed with activities in May. Visitors can drive a Ferrari, compete in an F1 simulator competition, and watch an exciting parade of authentic single-seater race cars through the streets of Lloret. There is also a car show with official products from top brands for sale, street music, and nightlife in Lloret's top discothèques and the Gran Casino Costa Brava.
The Xino-Xano cultural association organizes the now-traditional Beaches Fun Walk on the last Sunday of September. Participants in the 11-kilometer fun walk meet in Plaça de la Vila early in the morning and then travel by cruise ship or coach to Cala Canyelles, where the walk begins. This is primarily a coastal route, winding its way along a coastal footpath with views from the cliffs as it passes through Cala Trons, Sa Caleta, Lloret's main beach, Fenals beach, and Sa Boadella before arriving at Santa Cristina beach.
