Road: The Brixental Road (B170) from Wörgl crosses the Thurn Pass Road (B161) from Mittersill to St. Johann in Tirol in Kitzbühel. Kitzbühel station serves as a major bus interchange for buses to Lienz and Worgl.
Rail: The Salzburg-Tyrol Railway stops in Kitzbühel Hauptbahnhof, Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm, and Kitzbühel Schwarzsee. While local trains only serve Hahnenkamm and Schwarzsee stations, long-distance trains from Innsbruck and Graz stop at Kitzbühel station. Kitzbühel station was renovated in 2010 and now features barrier-free platforms, underpasses, and a lift. Kitzbühel will no longer have a stationmaster and will no longer be able to purchase tickets at the counter beginning in 2011.
