Paddington, often known as London Paddington, is a Central London railway terminal and London Underground station complex on Praed Street in the Paddington neighborhood. Since 1838, the location has served as the London terminal for services supplied by the Great Western Railway and its predecessors. Much of the main line station was developed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel in 1854.

Paddington is the London terminal of the Great Western Main Line; Great Western Railway operates the majority of commuter and regional passenger services to west London and the Thames Valley region, as well as long-distance intercity services to South West England and South Wales. It also serves as the Heathrow Express and TfL Rail terminals for Heathrow Airport and Reading. It is one of 11 London stations directly operated by Network Rail. It is in tariff zone 1 and has two different tube stations serving the Bakerloo, Circle, District, and Hammersmith & City lines.

The station is always busy with people and products, especially milk and packages. Major improvements occurred in the 1870s, 1910s, and 1960s, each attempting to provide extra platforms and space while preserving as much of the original services and architecture as feasible. Paddington was the original western terminal of the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first subterranean railway, and was serviced by London Underground trains for the first time in 1863. As London's urban expansion extended westward in the twentieth century, suburban and commuter services began to develop at Paddington. Despite several renovations and rebuilding, as well as damage experienced during World War II, Brunel's original design is still recognizable.
