Southwest Florida International Airport, commonly known as Fort Myers Airport, first opened its doors in 1983. RSW currently serves over 9 million passengers each year, not just in the Fort Myers area, but also in Cape Coral, Everglades, and Greater Naples. There are over 30 food and beverage options, currency exchange, tourist service, and other amenities available.

Picking up a car at RSW is simple because the rental businesses' kiosks are on the ground level of the parking garage, and the rentals are also parked there. When you arrive in Fort Myers, simply proceed downstairs and depart after baggage claim. The parking structure will be directly across the street. Return your car to RSW by following the signs to the bottom level of the parking garage.

The J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge is the second. This refuge area, located little under 25 miles from downtown Fort Myers, offers a pleasant morning or afternoon for the entire family. There, you may visit the information center, walk, cycle, or drive through a four-mile wildlife drive, and have fun on any or all three paths.
