The station is located at the southern end of the InterCityExpress line, which connects to Hamburg-Altona through the Hanover-Würzburg high-speed train route. It also offers frequent connections to Dortmund through Frankfurt and Cologne via the high-speed rail route Cologne-Frankfurt.
