Kiten is a coastal resort town on Bulgaria's Black Sea Coast in Burgas Province. It is located on the tiny Urdoviza peninsula at the Kiten River's mouth and has two beaches: Atliman and Urdoviza.

Until the Balkan Wars of 1912–1913, the sole structure on the site was an unmanned pier used to export wood and charcoal. Kiten was established in 1931 by 30 families of Bulgarian immigrants from Eastern Thrace who relocated from the recently established refugee town of Fazanovo. However, the region has ancient roots, since amphoras from the 6th century BCE were discovered on the south beach (Urdoviza). Kiten was designated a national resort in 1962, and it has been administratively a quarter of neighboring Primorsko since 1981. The former village was declared a separate town on June 17, 2005, in order to better accommodate the increasing number of visitors, especially from Bulgaria, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Serbia, Russia, and Germany.

Kiten is located on the Black Sea coast in the southeastern portion of the Republic of Bulgaria, 53 kilometers southeast of the regional center of Bourgas, 6 kilometers south of the municipal center of Primorsko, and 12 kilometers northwest of the center of the neighboring municipality of Tsarevo. It is located north of the Kitenska River's mouth, with a portion of it on the tiny peninsula Urdoviza.

The beaches and the two gorgeous bays - Karaagach and Konnik, commonly known as Atliman - are the most important characteristics of Kiten's relief for tourists. Other lovely little bays along the Strandzha coast (Sozopol, Kavatsite, Stomoplo) exist, but each has its unique set of circumstances and charm. The mix of Strandzha's wooded branches and the sea adds to this.

The beaches are possibly the most important natural resource determining Kiten's growth as a resort and summer sea leisure hub. Kiten has two sandy beaches with a combined size of approximately 145,000 m2. The northern beach, known as "Kiten-Atliman," is located near the mouth of the same-named bay. It covers an area of approximately 81,000 m2 and features magnificent sand dunes. The beach is bordered on all sides by a steep rocky coastline. The southern beach is separated into two sections: "Kiten-South" beach and "Camping Kiten" beach. It is on the Gulf of Urdoviza, which is more exposed to the sea. Its shoreline is 1380 meters long. It reaches the mouth of the Karaagach River to the south, and the beginning of the rocky Urdoviza peninsula to the north, where the port quay is currently erected. The beaches of MMC - "Primorsko" and "Primorsko-South" - are close to Kiten and are among the biggest on the Black Sea coast south of Bourgas.a
